Kickin' around Kerman

Kerman is a 4 hour drive south east of Yazd and our main interests here is to visit Rayen castle and the historic garden at Mahan.

Kerman itself has a hammam worth a butchers, plus a good little bazaar but we pretty much covered all of the local territory in the afternoon we arrived.

Today we hired a car and driver for the day and drove around 110kms to visit Rayen castle. A mud built citadel it is believed to be up to 1,000 years old and was inhabited right up until around 150 years ago.













On the way back we stopped at the town of Mahan to spend some time in Shazdeh Garden, constructed in the 1850's.
